Daniil Medvedev is now waiting to know the name of his opponent in the quarter-finals of the ATP 500 in Beijing, who will be his compatriot Andrey Rublev or the Frenchman Ugo Humbert, who face each other this Saturday a little later in the day. The Australian (12th in the world), winner of the Russian in Montreal this summer but then defeated in New York by the future finalist of the US Open, faltered, not without resistance, notably in the heart of a first set that Medvedev had in pognes (5-2, double break), before loosening the grip.
