Coach Davide Mazzanti Reflects on Summer Performance and Discrepancy in Results

Davide Mazzanti analyzed the performance through federal channels: “We always wasted something at the end of the set, lacking clarity in the key moments. Instead, they did well in those situations, managing to close out the game and gain the pass to Paris. We, however, were not as precise as needed, unlike our opponents and this cost us the match. It was a summer full of many things, many surprises, many discoveries and many, at times, uncertainties.”

The coach then continued: “I think back to the Nations League dotted with physical problems for example. It was an intense and beautiful summer in its journey but poor in results because despite everything the Nations League, European Championships and Pre-Olympic did not produce the desired results. My work is judged on the basis of results, I am aware of this, and therefore I find it difficult to evaluate the season because the richness of what we have done together clashes with the scarcity of results”.
