Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow Being Evaluated Daily for Calf Injury Ahead of Monday Night Game

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is still being evaluated on a daily basis as he suffers from a right calf injury, according to head coach Zac Taylor.

Burrow will have an extra day to recover, as the Bengals will be in action Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams.

“Pain is a problem right now, so it’s best to give it some time,” Taylor summarized. That’s all I’ll say today. »

Last week against the Baltimore Ravens, Burrow re-injured the same calf that was affected during training camp. The injury kept him from fully participating in practice for about six weeks, but he still played in the season opener, a 24-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Taylor said it would be ideal for Burrow to be able to practice before Monday if he were to play. As for the quarterback’s workload, Taylor said the situation will need to be monitored throughout the week.

The Bengals (0-2) look to avoid losing three straight games for the first time since Burrow’s rookie season in 2020.

Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning could see action if Burrow were to sit out.
