The China-European Basketball Champions Cup kicks off with top league teams from China and Serbia competing

On the evening of September 15, the 2023 “Belt and Road” China-EU Basketball Champions Cup kicked off at the Yubei District Gymnasium in Chongqing. In the three-day competition, four teams from China and Serbia will compete for this year’s CEIBS Basketball Champions Cup trophy.
The competition attracted participation from the Shanghai Jiushi Sharks and Zhejiang Chouzhou Financial Rentals of the Chinese Professional Basketball League (CBA), as well as the Metala basketball team and the Zlatibor basketball team of the Serbian top league KLS. This is China’s Men’s basketball and Serbian men’s basketball will face off again after the Men’s Basketball World Cup.
The China-Europe Basketball Champions Cup is an intercontinental club cup held in China. It provides CBA teams with an opportunity for intercontinental confrontation. It is also a head-on collision between high-level CBA clubs and European basketball clubs. (Xiao Jiangchuan)
