Champions: Inzaghi, bad for 60 minutes but good at staying in the game – Football

“I predicted that we would face a worthy opponent, we did well because in the first hour we didn’t do well and we suffered. We did well to stay in the game, we drew it and in the end we wanted to win. It was our debut, we we take this point but we saw firsthand what I said the day before, that is, that Real Sociedad is an excellent team.” This was said by Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, interviewed by Amazon Prime Video after the draw with Real Sociedad.

“Would I make the same choices again? It’s always easy to talk afterwards. The boys are playing hard, I changed four elements compared to Sunday. In the first half all Inter suffered, we did well to hang on to the game thanks also to our goalkeeper and then we did the last 20 minutes at our best,” he added. “I have a squad that I have to try to exploit, there are the national teams then the derby, many had problems and very careful evaluations had to be made.

I need everyone, I would have also liked to make a few more changes. I will always do this because playing games every 48/72 hours takes a lot of energy away from you. Then with ifs and buts we don’t get anywhere.”
