Canacintra demands a strategy to solve problems on border bridges – El Sol de México

Isela Molina, president of the National Chamber of the Processing Industry (Canacintra) in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, called on the three levels of government to implement an urgent strategy that guarantees normal working.

The above is due to the delays that have been generated at the trailer crossings, on the different Guadalupe-Tornillo, Jerónimo-Santa Teresa and Zaragoza-Ysleta bridges.

Given the closure of the Córdova Américas bridge, the CBP (United States Customs and Border Protection) reported that it requires personnel and this will be used to process a large number of migrants, Canacintra reported, through a statement.

The above altered the flow of goods to the United States and with it an entire commercial system that makes this city function was altered, he added.

The city is affected by the closure of an international crossing and the stagnation of goods. This is not the first time this has happened and we have not seen progress on the issue.

Therefore, it is urgent to make decisions so that these events do not disrupt the Juárez community,” highlighted Isela Molina.
