Badminton Sees Growth in Almería Province Thanks to Club’s Technicalization Project

Badminton continues to grow in the province thanks to the technicalization project developed by the Badminton Club Mercapinturas Almería through the Provincial Council of Almería.

During the month of August and September A training camp has been developed in various parts of the province where a total of 35 athletes have been able to prepare for the start of the season. through track training, joining forces with colleagues from other Almeria clubs and sharing recreational-sports activities. Furthermore, in parallel, an official instructor course of the Andalusian Badminton Federation has been developed for several athletes over 16 years of age and sports technicians in the province.

The training sessions on the track have alternated in Almería capital and Laujar de Andarax where high-level national coaches from CB La Rinconada have developed the sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in August. In parallel, recreational activities have been carried out such as beach badminton days in the Zapillo or coexistence in Fondón y MarioPark. Finally, the monitor course has been carried out in the CEIP Joaquín Visiedo of Viator during the month of September.

In the words of the campus organizer, Fernando Carrillo, The activity has been a success because it has managed to bring together several badminton schools in the provinceenhance the level of our athletes and has given the opportunity to train as technicians to those players of legal age who in the future will allow the progress of badminton in the province to continue.
