The American Ashlyn Krueger has won her first tennis tournament on the WTA tour.
The 19-year-old defeated the top seeded Chinese Zhu Lin 6:3,7:6(6) in the final in Osaka on Sunday. Krueger, who will move up around 50 places in the world rankings and finish at position 75, played only her eleventh WTA tournament in Osaka.
In San Diego, Barbora Krejcikova from the Czech Republic won the title with a 6:4.2:6.6:4 victory over Sofia Kenin from the USA.
