Alazanes Win First Game in Baseball Champions League Americas, Defeating RedHawks 3-1

This Wednesday, September 28, the first game in the history of the Baseball Champions League Americas (BCL) took place, which the Alazanes won by scoring two runs at the end of the eighth roll to be able to make the difference and thus win 3-1 to the RedHawks.

The Alazanes made the difference run during the closing of the eighth roll when Yordanis Samón sent Raico Santos to the plate, with a good double and Guillermo Avilés was able to close the account with a sacrifice fly that ended up opening the doors for Samón.

While in the ninth, the RedHawks loaded the bases with one out ahead of Juan Peñalver, but Albero Civil’s right hand came in dominating Dyson Croes’ pinch hitter, which turned it into a double play that ended the game.
