Telde.- The Judo Technique Center Akari-Las Nieves He participated in the Spanish Championship in Valencia in the children’s and cadet categories, winning a gold and a silver medal, as well as several fifth and seventh places.

Thus, Eric J. Morales Caballero (-42kg/Las Nieves) was proclaimed children’s champion. According to reports from the club itself, he debuted with a representative whom he beat from Ippon. In the quarterfinals, he beat the Catalan rival by the maximum score and placed among the best four. In the semis he faced the Valencian representative whom he managed to beat in the gold technique. And in the final, he beat the Cantabrian judoka with an Ippon, obtaining his second national medal and the only gold medal for the Canary Islands in this event.
For her part, Zuleima Falcón Sánchez (-48kg/Akari) obtained the title of runner-up in the cadet category. She won her first three Ippon matches against judokas from Aragon, Asturias and Catalonia. She only gave in in the final against the Madrid representative.
In addition, David García Santana (-55kg/cadet/Las Nieves), and Getsemani Almenara Betancor (+70kg/cadet/Akari) achieved fifth place in their categories.
