According to the 2023 recommendation plan, the activation reset rules for this year’s recommendation activities: Those who did not enter the next stage in the previous stage will be automatically reset this time. The 2023 nomination list includes 13 resettlement personnel.
The three sequences of “Outstanding Athletes”, “Outstanding Coaches” and “Excellent Groups” are recommended by nearly a hundred nominating units. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Certified Public Accountants is responsible for the mailing, recycling and statistics of the nomination forms, and is then verified through the relevant recommendation process. The final list was determined.
The “Special Contributors” sequence is organized by the Hall of Fame Committee for people in relevant fields to complete relevant procedures, and Mr. Gong Peishan is nominated to enter the 2023 Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame nomination list as a “Special Contributor”.
Mr. Gong Peishan is one of the main founders of the China University Basketball League (CUBA League). He has long been committed to promoting the development of Chinese university basketball and has made outstanding contributions to the “integration of sports and education”.
The nomination work for the 2023 Hall of Fame has been successfully concluded, and the “Recommendation Committee” is responsible for the next step of the recommendation work.
Hundreds of “Recommendation Committee” members are composed of representatives of practitioners in various fields of basketball. The “Recommendation Committee” members will recommend 4 male athletes, 4 female athletes, 2 coaches, and 2 collective teams from the nomination list to the recommendation list. Among them, male and female athletes each recommended at least one nominee from the “1949-1974” period. At the same time, it will be decided whether Mr. Gong Peishan will be included in the recommendation list.
The selection work will end in late October. The selection list will include 11 candidates, 6 resettlement personnel and 2 collective teams.
The final review work will be carried out by the “Final Review Committee”, which will recommend the 2023 Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame final list from the recommendation list in the form of a final review meeting, and submit it to the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame Committee for approval and announcement.
