2022 financial targets met by all teams

All teams in the Formula 1 World Championship adhered to the financial targets in the 2022 season. This was announced by the International Automobile Association on Tuesday in a statement after examining the relevant documents from the ten racing teams. According to the budget limit, the teams were allowed 140 million US dollars, the equivalent of around 130 million euros. This year it is 135 million US dollars (around 125 million euros).

Since 2021, Formula 1 has imposed a “budget cap”; in the first year of the spending limit, the limit was ultimately 148.6 million US dollars (around 138 million euros). Because of two violations of the regulations in the first year of the budget cap, Red Bull was fined and hours in the wind tunnel were deducted.
