Women’s World Cup 2023: This is how Germany progresses against South Korea

While her players were still tying their shoelaces, chatting with each other or juggling a ball, Martina Voss-Tecklenburg was standing under a pavilion in the small football stadium at Perry Park. She wasn’t quite ready to lead the final training session ahead of the third group match at the World Cup against South Korea. First she hugged the team photographer – and sang with her “I waaant it thaaat way” from the Backstreet Boys. The session started with this mood, and to a certain extent Voss-Tecklenburg had already announced this good mood in the German national team a few hours beforehand. Although the end in the preliminary round is possible.
