Wismanei lost in Germany in the final of the W25 series competition – Tennis – Sportacentrs.com

Wismane, who is ranked 363rd in the WTA ranking and was seeded sixth in the tournament, won 4:6, 1:6 over the tournament’s eighth-ranked Czech Nikola Bartúņkova (WTA 376).

For the Latvian, this was the seventh final of the ITF singles competition and the fourth loss in them. The last time Vismane played in the singles final was in May 2021 in Liepāja.

During the tournament, Wismane beat Japanese Manu Kawamura (WTA 693) 6:3, 6:2, 7:6 (3), 6:1 – Italian Federica Bilardo (WTA 550), 7:5, 7:5 defeated Estonian Mailena Nudi (WTA 522) and with 0:6, 6:4, 6:3 – the first racket of the tournament, Dutch Suzanne Lamens (WTA 278).

Vismane earned 30 world ranking points for reaching the final. The 23-year-old tennis player will lose about 20 positions in the WTA ranking in the new week.

In the doubles tournament, Wismane paired with Lamens was seeded with the first number, but in the semi-finals, she lost 6:7 (7), 2:6 to the third-seeded neutral athlete Ekaterina Ovcharenko and the Hungarian Amarisa Tota.

In the doubles competition, the Latvian earned 18 world ranking points.

The tournament in Ervite took place on clay courts.
