Volland to 1. FC Union Berlin – Sport

The Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Union Berlin is further upgrading for the premiere season in the Champions League and reports the transfer of Kevin Volland as perfect. The 15-time international arrives from AS Monaco, where he was under contract until June 30 next year. The transfer of the attacker had already been indicated in the past few days.

“I’m very happy that I’m still getting the chance to play at the highest level here at Union,” said Volland. Only on Tuesday did the Berliners sign national player Robin Gosens, 29. Gosens, who previously played for Inter Milan, is said to have cost 15 million euros, making it the most expensive purchase in the history of the Bundesliga promoted in 2019.

Volland was under contract with Monaco for almost three years. He moved there from Bayer Leverkusen in September 2020. The now 31-year-old attacker had previously gone on a goal hunt for TSV 1860 Munich and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. “I grew up in the Bundesliga and never lost sight of it,” Volland was quoted as saying in the club’s press release.
