OTHERS Tomorrow evening the transfer market closes in the seven biggest leagues in Europe. Clubs from these countries will then no longer be able to buy players from the Belgian league. In Belgium, the transfer market closes on September 6 and there are also a few other countries where the transfer market is open even longer, such as Greece (11/09), Turkey (15/09) and Saudi Arabia (20/09).
Deadline Day:
September 1: England, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands and Portugal
September 6: Belgium
September 11: Greece
September 14: Russia
September 15: Turkey and Cyprus
September 20: Saudi Arabia
In Belgium, it was decided to extend the deadline day so that clubs still have an opportunity to strengthen themselves if a player is sold to a big club at the last minute. As a result, clubs from Belgium can, for example, still buy or rent players from the major leagues until September 6.
