The rivalry between the Belgian top teams is not only noticeable on the field, but also off the field.

That was proven once again when Club Brugge unveiled its third shirt a few days ago. That is traditionally a surprising color. But this time very surprising. Because in addition to of course blue-black and white, the third outfit colored… red.

And Standard didn’t like that. Red is of course the club color par excellence of the Rouches and on Facebook they responded with a swipe. “Our coach, one of our seasonings, our color… What’s next?”

A clear reference to the stealing of trainer Ronny Deila in the off-season and bringing in last season’s tastemaker and crowd favorite Philip Zinckernagel.
