The Los Angeles Lakers continue to strengthen their team for the 2022-2023 NBA campaign and they have Killian Hayes, Detroit Pistons point guard, in their sights and several experts agree that he would be an ideal piece for the club’s second unit.
Hayes had everything to have an important position in the Pistons but Cade Cunningham will continue as the starting point guard and this takes away playing time. In the Lakers he would not have a starting position either, but would enter the rotation with D-Lo and also with Gabe Vincent.

Hayes, just 21 years old, already has experience of three seasons in the league and has developed as a point guard with good defense and great vision of the game. He may not be explosive as far as scoring is concerned, but he makes his teammates play.
Last season he posted 10.3 points per game with 6.2 assists in 72 games, spread over 28.3 minutes per game. He can also collaborate as an escort, but the main facet of him is to defend the best point guard of the opposing team in moments of urgency.

The Lakers continue to build their team around Anthony Davis and LeBron James, but the interesting thing is that they look much deeper for next season.
