A derby that seems decidedly limited to two competitors. What is the longest-running commercial activity in Marina di Cerveteri?
In recent days, as reported on these pages, the Franco’s bar in Campo di Mare celebrated the first 50 years of activity with a beautiful evening. For the occasion, a good debate was ignited on social networks about which were the first commercial activities launched in the very young maritime fraction of the ancient Etruscan city and, all in all, the impression that has been given so far is that it is a two-way derby for which, at least at the moment, there would be no absolute verdict.
And so, in short, together with the Bar da Franco, there would be only one in the running Ilio Mecucciwhose “workshop”, for the resale and installation of gas cylinders and a cycling laboratory in the old and first shopping center in the area, is one of the absolute Cerenova. The activity would have been started from July 1973.
To whom therefore the birthright and which is the most long-livedor the activity that has never stopped working in the last 50 years?
Among other long-standing activities, however, it is worth mentioning the La Perla Boutique, the Rosati Gelateria Pasticceria, the Gardenia Hardware Store, Alimentary Ilari, still in the old mall area.
