Tallon Griekspoor and Maria Sakkari Upset Top Seeds Taylor Fritz and Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff Advances to Washington Open Finals

Taylor Fritz and Jessica Pegula, seeded N.1, were eliminated respectively by Tallon Griekspoor and Maria Sakkari on Saturday in the semifinals of the Washington Open, where Coco Gauff reached the last step. Fritz, who had just won two wins the day before, was overthrown 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 by the Dutchman, seeded N.12, after winning the first set thanks to a break from the second game.
