Sumar has denounced the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubialesbefore the Higher Sports Council, and requests that it be removed from office and “let the action protocol against sexual violence“, as reported on her social networks by Marta Lois, deputy and spokesperson for the political party.
For her part, the Second Vice President of the Government and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Diazhas indicated that from Sumar “we have denounced what happened with Mr. Rubiales before the Higher Council of Sports for serious infringement.”
The sports federations are subject to the Sports Law and the CSD must act so that “machismo does not go unpunished,” Díaz also points out on his social networks.

Rubiales has already accumulated three complaints for the forced kiss he gave to the soccer player Jenni Hermoso after the World Cup in Australia this weekend. The first complaint was filed by Miguel Galán, director of the CENAFE training center for coaches; the second the Catalan ex-referee Xavier Estrada Fernández; and this Tuesday the Sumar party.

The RFEF has also convened an Extraordinary General Assembly as a matter of urgency to deal with the matter and, therefore, Rubiales’ future in office will be addressed after Pedro Sánchez, acting president of the Spanish Government, declared it “insufficient and inadequate” the apologies of the federation leader, in addition to describing Rubiales’ aggression against Jenni Hermoso as “unacceptable”.
“The internal proceedings of the Federation regarding integrity issues are open, as well as the rest of the applicable protocols,” the RFEF reported in a statement on Tuesday.
