Straka loses places at FedExCup finals

After a strong start, golfer Sepp Straka only managed a solid second round at the Tour Championship. The Viennese played a 71 on the par 70 course at the East Lake Golf Club near Atlanta on Friday. In the elite field of 30 in the FedExCup final, the 30-year-old was around 20th before the end of the round.

With two birdies and three bogeys, Straka was not able to repeat the day before, when with a 66 only five professionals had started better than the 17th. There was no cut in the $75 million tournament, rather the players around Collin Morikawa, who was leading after the first round, took bonus shots into the tournament. The winner hits a $18 million jackpot.
