Sparta Drops Points in Weakened Team, Losing Grip on Table Lead

Sparta drew 1:1 in a weakened team in Teplice, they did not win for the first time in the season of the top competition and may lose the lead in the table on Sunday. The defending champions led from the 34th minute after a goal by former North Bohemian player Jan Kuchta, but from the end of the opening act they finished without the suspended captain Ladislav Krejčí. Substitute Egyptian Muhammad Jásir scored the home team’s first goal in the Czech league in the 85th minute.

Liberec footballers beat Pardubice 1:0 at home. Christian Frýdek decided the match in the 13th minute. The North Bohemians hit the crossbar twice in the opening act, the guests hit the post once after changing sides. Slovan won for the first time after three duels in the top flight and jumped to sixth place in the incomplete standings. The match against the club he played for did not work out for East Bohemia coach Radoslav Kováč, and his team suffered their third defeat of the season.

Mladá Boleslav drew 2:2 in the match between neighbors in the table at Slovácko, when they scored both goals in a weakened state. Filip Vecheta gave the home team the lead in the 11th minute, visiting striker Matěj Pulkrab was sent off in the 39th minute, but the Central Bohemians prevailed in the tenth. Daniel Mareček equalized in the setting of the first half and turned the score around in the 53rd minute. The guests only lost the win in the set-up, when substitute Jan Kalabiška punished a mistake by goalkeeper Matouš Trmal. Then Mladá Boleslav’s Benson Sakala also received a red card. The guests are fourth in the incomplete table, Slovakia is also fifth with eight points.

Jablonec football players drew 1:1 in Karviná and are still waiting for their first win of the season under coach Radoslav Látal. The Silesian newcomer scored after three defeats in a row. Miloš Kratochvíl gave the visitors the lead in the 56th minute from the penalty spot, six minutes before the end, substitute Nigerian Adeleke Akinyemi equalized with his first goal in the Czech top flight.
