Slavia Defender Igoh Ogbu Suspended for Europa League Match Against Zorje Luhansk

The players of Slavia will have to do without defender Igoh Ogbua in the first match of the last preliminary round of the Europa League against Zorje Luhansk. The defender will thus serve the remainder of the two-game suspension he received for the foul against Dnipro. UEFA decided on this on Friday.

On Thursday, Slavia was assured that it will play at least the group of the European Conference League in the fall. It was able to do so thanks to progress over Ukrainian Dnipro. However, defender Igoh Ogbu was missing in the rematch, as he was punished for a foul from the opening match, when in the 58th minute he hit one of the opponent’s players in the neck with his foot in an aerial duel.

He was immediately shown a red card by the referee and has now received an additional two-match ban from UEFA. In addition to the rematch with Dnipro, he will not even play the home match against Zorje Luhansk. He will be available to the Praguers only in the return match. If Slavia advances, they will play the basic group of the Europa League, otherwise they will head to the European Conference League.

Slavia is doing well in the new season so far. So far, it is 100% in the league, for which it deserves the second place in the table behind Sparta only because of a worse score. Thursday’s draw against Dnipro was the first loss for coach Trpišovský’s team this year.

Slavia offers Eden the representation of Ukraine. She would get everything for free, says Tvrdík:
