“Why did I stay? I received and rejected some offers, but I feel good here. They treated me in a unique way. During the holidays I kept talking to Mou and we both wanted to give something more. We came close to achieving a goal important and we are left with a bittersweet taste”. This is how Paulo Dybala, Roma striker, talks about himself in a long interview with As on the eve of the start of the season. On this year’s goals he then adds: “We will try to improve in all competitions. We want to give a title to our people, who deserve it. With the reinforcements that have arrived and those that could arrive, we have a very good squad” . A question about Morata’s non-arrival in attack is inevitable. “Eh… I called him every time (he laughs). We are very good friends, he is almost one of the family, I have known him for a long time-he explains in the interview-.
Obviously it’s not a viable option, but I would have loved to have him here in Rome with us”. Dybala then concludes by also talking about the expansion of Arab football: “Ours is a global sport and they have the same right that we have to see the big names up close. Then it’s up to the individual to make a decision.”
