Roger Federer to be Honored at Laver Cup Anniversary Event

Tennis legend Roger Federer is being celebrated again a year after his last game as a professional at the Laver Cup: in September, in Vancouver, Canada, the Swiss is to be honored again for his exceptional career.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion and co-founder of the Laver Cup will be present as the guest of honor on the black court at the start of the show fight on September 22 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena between the continents.

The 42-year-old from Basel will be interviewed by ex-professional and TV expert Jim Courier and will also answer questions from fans. The “Maestro” played his last game for Team Europe at the Laver Cup in London alongside Rafael Nadal on September 23.

Federer’s picture was one of the most impressive sports photos of the past year: After the game, the Swiss sat crying next to Nadal, who was also crying, on the players’ bench.
