It is one of the largest and most popular parks in the country, not only by the Vedanese. It will soon become a point of reference for those who want to play team sports outdoors and have fun with friends, especially playing football or basketball. Work in sight for the park in via Matteotti, the large green area overlooking the provincial road Monza-Carate, a short distance from the walls of the Monza Park. The Municipality has decided to put its hand to this garden with a series of extraordinary maintenance works that will enrich its facilities. The Council has already given the green light to the intervention by approving the executive project of the works. The works will specifically concern the creation within the park of a 3-on-3 street basketball court, for which the construction of a concrete plate as the base of the field is envisaged, on which a basket with backboard will be installed. The two football goals that were already present will then be relocated: they will be new goals, replacing those previously removed because they were old and now damaged, and therefore no longer usable. The intervention will cost a total of 19,125 euros: the expenditure will be covered for 12,500 euros by a contribution assigned to the town hall by the Government, while the remaining 6,625 euros will be provided by the Municipality. The necessary funds have already been allocated and the work has been entrusted to a Vedanese company.
