Real Madrid plans to sign Kylian Mbappé this summer. With that news, the German took over BILD Sunday out. However, the Spanish top club deliberately waits until the very last moment to make a bid.
The transfer window in Spain and France closes on September 1. The German sports magazine knows that Real Madrid deliberately chooses not to make the offer to Paris Saint-Germain until August 29 or 30, to prevent poker games. The offer would be around one hundred and twenty million euros.
Mbappé was recently accepted back into favor at PSG after the club and the player had been at odds for a while. The Frenchman does not want to extend his contract expiring in 2024 and was therefore no longer welcome in the PSG first team.
After ‘very constructive and positive talks’, Mbappé is now back at the French club. PSG hopes to extend the star player’s contract, with a built-in clause for a transfer to Real Madrid in the future. However, Real Madrid wonders why it would wait another year for Mbappe and then have to pay a transfer fee. That is why the club wants to continue this summer.
