Jakarta – In the midst of the euphoria of the success of the U-23 Indonesian National Team in advancing to the final of the U-23 AFF Cup, there are still a few stories. Namely regarding Dzaky Asraf and Rizky Ridho who were banned by their respective clubs from defending Garuda Muda.

Persija Jakarta and PSM Makassar refused to release their main players, namely Rizky Ridho and Dzaky Asraf. The power of both is considered to be still needed by their respective clubs in League 1.

The two clubs reasoned that the AFF U-23 Cup was not an official FIFA calendar. Rizky Ridho and Dzaky Asraf are also pillar players at their respective clubs.

The attitude of Persija and PSM infuriated PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir. Rizky Ridho and Dzaky Asraf admit that they want to defend the U-23 National Team.

“If the players don’t want to play, then the players meet me. It’s just that I don’t want them to be banned from playing (by their club),” said Erick Thohir.

“The player has individual rights to bring the Red and White. If the players want it, please give him freedom as a human being, “continued Erick Thohir.
