Former NBA star Paul Pierce believes LeBron James’ career with Team USA is not over yet. Though James turns 39 this December, Pierce says Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James will be wearing his country’s shirt once again at the 2024 Olympics.
“I really think LeBron is going to Paris”Pierce told the Ticket & The Truth podcast. “I think LeBron will be at the Olympics. This will be his last Olympics. I think Steph Curry will be there. He will go to the Olympics. I think he should go there.”
James last played for Team USA at the 2012 London Olympics. He has represented Team USA at three Olympic Games (2004, 2008 and 2012), one World Cup (2006) and one FIBA Americas Championship (2007) .
James travels with the following career averages with Team USA: 13.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 43 appearances for Team USA in FIBA competition.
Let’s see if LeBron James will really play the 2024 Olympics in Paris with Team USA. It would certainly be wonderful and the right way to end his wonderful career with the United States, which began with the tragic defeat in Athens against Luis Scola and Manu Ginobili’s Argentina.
