Paraguayan Judo Team Shines in South American Tournament with Gold and Bronze Medals

The members of the Paraguayan judo team closed a stupendous campaign in the South American of the modality that is celebrated in Arenita of the National Secretariat of Sports.

One gold medal and three bronze medals were won by the national team on the opening day of the South American Judo tournament that takes place in our country.

The first day the cadets competed and the Guarani Thais Báez climbed to the top of the continental podium by occupying first place and winning the gold medal in the Cat. -48 kg.

Paraguayan judokas Nancy Gimenez (-48 kg), Mical Gonzalez (-48 kg) and Enzo Peralta (-55 kg) also climbed the podium with three bronze medals.

Other good performances were from Agustín Ledesma (5th); Ashliegh Talavera (5th), Tobias Maldonado (5th), Angel Troche (5th), Gabriela Marecos (7th), Stefany Salinas (7th) and Iker Aranda (7th)
