For the first time in history, Panama entered the World Ranking

Historic. Panama rose to 11th place in the World Baseball & Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Ranking according to the latest world ranking published yesterday.

The national team has 2,196 points and has added 698 points so far this year, highlighting the U12 Baseball World Championship held in Taiwan, where it ranked eighth and a total of 128 points.

For the first time in history, Panama entered the World Ranking in its ‘Top 12’ and has also occupied position 11 for the first time.

The national team won the Repechage to the Pan American Games, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, ensuring their pass to the Games in Santiago de Chile.

Now they will have to play the baseball tournament of the Pan American Games.

Japan continues as number 1 in the world with 5,274 points, followed by the United States with (4,654), Mexico (4,226) and Korea with (4,025).

In the previous update of the World ranking, Panama was located in position 14.
