Olympique Lyon is interested in Davy Klaassen. This is reported by Voetbal International on Tuesday afternoon. It is not known how the thirty-year-old midfielder himself feels about a switch to Ligue 1, but Ajax is willing to think along with Klaassen if he decides that he wants to leave the Amsterdam club this summer.
According to VI, Lyon is one of the clubs interested. It is not stated which other clubs are also interested in Klaassen. The weekly does report that the midfielder himself is weighing his options, and that it could well be that Klaassen is working on his last days in the shirt of the capitals.
Trainer Maurice Steijn has informed the born Hilversummer that he will not play everything this season, but that he can stay at the club if he wants to. It also became clear that Klaassen will not be an undisputed basic player this season when not he, but Steven Bergwijn was appointed first captain of the club.
It is therefore possible that the lack of playing time will make Klaassen decide to leave.
