After the winter vacation break, the activity framed in the regional stage of the Buenos Aires Games was resumed, the last instance prior to the provincial final that during the coming month of September will be played again in Mar del Plata.
The return to the competition allowed more representatives of Olavarriense sports to achieve their ticket to the spa city.
Mateo Alonso and Patricio Bravo, who stayed with the U16 badminton competition that was held in Rauch and Luciano Orchini qualified for the provincial final in Electronic Sports, more precisely in FIFA.
Olavarría will also have shooting representatives and one of them will be Valentino Rossi, who won the gold medal in the 2022 edition and is also already qualified for the Evita National Games. Also in Sub15, but in the female branch, Victoria Olivera qualified. The activity took place last weekend at the Federal Shooting Center in our city.
On the other hand, in the Estudiantes club, it hosted the regional U16 hockey stage in which the local team defeated Las Flores and now awaits the progress of the competition to meet its next rival. Teams from 25 de Mayo, Azul and Bolívar also participated in the tie and the azuleñas will be the rivals in the final.
In addition, in the last hours Bolívar hosted the regional stage of beach volleyball and a local delegation headed by professors from the staff of the municipal Undersecretary of Sports traveled there. It was within this framework that the Olavarriense duo made up of Domina and Ferraiuelo prevailed in the Sub16 category and thus ensured their passage to the spa city.
At the same time, the representative from Olavarriense of U18 Soccer is also in the regional final, who reaped victories against Saladillo and 25 de Mayo in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively.
On the other hand, there is also -in parallel- competition for the so-called Buenos Aires Cup, which is the one that defines the representatives of the Province that will take part in the Evita National Games, also to be held in September in Mar del Plata.
Within this framework, the Club Estudiantes Mini-Gym hosted the Interregional Volleyball Championship, where the locals defeated Marcos Paz in straight sets and are still on their way in the U15 category. In Sub17 it was also a victory for Olavarría, but through Pueblo Nuevo he also defeated Marcos Paz, but in three sets.
