There are nicer things than swallowing a 5-1 at Union after a home defeat against RWDM. The OH Leuven fans who traveled with them also thought so. During the match, “Shame on you!” resounded, after the match they demanded an explanation from coach Marc Brys.
“The fans have a right to an explanation and if asked respectfully, I am always willing to give it,” said the OHL coach. “I have no problem with that either, we have nothing to hide.”
“If you haven’t seen the game, those 5-1 numbers are very tough. But I’ve seen a team that showed a lot of struggle and was willing to go very deep. Apart from the result, I have a good feeling here to about.”
The fans also called for reinforcements. “We are working hard behind the scenes. Everyone often forgets how complex something like this is. But there are a number of transfers in the pipeline and they will come soon.”
And so Brys understood the grievances of the OHL fans. “We all want the best for this club. We just need to get some time to improve our quality.”
“Whether I’m worried? Of course I am, because it’s always a bit of coffee grounds to see what will come next. But we have to keep believing in ourselves, because we have a nice team. We can’t doom and gloom in this situation, but we have to quietly take points.”
