The foreign basket hunters have arrived in the past few days. They underwent initial medical examinations and threw the jetlag out of their bones with one or the other easy session.

Captain Jonas Richter (26), Kevin Yebo (27), Dominic Lockhart (29) and Canadian Aher Uguak (25) are four players from last season in coach Rodrigo Pastore’s (50) squad. New on the foreign positions: king transfer DeAndre Lansdowne (34), Jeff Garrett (28), Wesley Van Beck (27) and Brendan Bailey (26, all USA) as well as Kaza Kajami-Keane (29, Canada).

The squad is not complete yet. A German player is to come. The hot candidate is the 21-year-old winger Nolan Adekunle from the BBL relegated Frankfurt Skyline. Much to Pastore’s delight, Yebo is at the start.

The center was last season’s discovery. For a long time he had toyed with a World Cup start for his father’s home country, the Ivory Coast. The subject is off the table. Yebo is fully focused on preparing with the Niners.

They will play the first two games at the tournament in Nuremberg on the first weekend in September. Opponents are Würzburg and the day after Crailsheim or the host team.

On September 7th it’s against league competitor Rostock (not public), six days later in the Stadthalle Weißenfels against Mitteldeutscher BC and on September 21st against Oldenburg (not public). Who wants to see the new team: On September 10th the official team presentation takes place in the location “die fabrik”.
