New York Knicks to Fully Guarantee Jericho Sims’ Contract for 2023-2024 Season

The New York Knicks plan to guarantee Jericho Sims’ full contract for $1.93 million for the 2023-2024 season, Michael Scotto of Hooshype.

The center entered the offseason with a guaranteed amount of $600,000 and increased to $1.2 million after the New Yorkers kept him on the roster last month. His salary will be officially confirmed on August 20 if he stays with the franchise.

Sims signed a two-way contract with the organization in 2021. In two seasons he has participated in 93 games in which he averaged 2.9 points and 4.4 rebounds. In the last season he played 52 games, 16 starts, until a right shoulder injury forced him to undergo surgery in April.

New York has a $2.1 million 2024-25 team option to retain Sims, who was selected 58th overall in the 2021 Draft.

The Big Apple team has 21 players under contract, the maximum number for the teams during the offseason. Twelve agreements are guaranteed and the three seats of the two-way contract.
