We mainly follow five different basketball players, which in itself is too much, but we also occasionally look over the shoulders of other players or coaches. A red thread is recognizable, but it is not as stringent as it could have been.
Good game scenes
The stories of the players in focus are not uninteresting, but they would have been better off in individual episodes. This way all the filling material would have been better accommodated. While Quarterback something universal and didn’t necessarily require a fondness for football NBA: A G League Odyssey actually only recommended for real basketball fans. What the documentary succeeds in doing is capturing the various game scenes. The fact that the basketball players here are not good enough to be signed (directly) in the NBA does not mean that there are no successful moves.
