Max Verstappen Raises Concerns Over Formula 1 Changes and Lifestyle Demands

Currently Max Verstappen can be the highest reference in Formula 1 and what he says can have a great impact on society. The Red Bull driver questioned the lifestyle he is having in the Grand Circus and pointed out some things with which he is not satisfied based on the changes they have made and that they want to continue implementing for the future.

Amid criticism over the growth of the calendar, the Dutchman expressed concern that next year will see a maximum of 24 races and six sprint races per season, adding an additional burden to Formula 1 teams.

“I am concerned about the sport that I have always enjoyed. I still do, but only to a point. It is not that I am totally against the change, as some claim. But those changes have to benefit Formula 1 […]. Why do you have to change things when they are going well? I think a traditional qualifying session is a great format, not everything has to be about money,” the two-time world champion told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

Likewise, Max Verstappen explained that his tours as a driver are not only related to the races on the Formula 1 calendar, as he also has commitments outside of Red Bull’s marketing activities.

“Travel is not the biggest problem. It’s more for all the extra things I have to do. Thursdays of a race weekend can be very long depending on where we are and outside of grands prix there is a lot of simulator work. For example, I lose more than a month a year in marketing. At a given moment, you don’t feel like doing all that anymore”, stated the young pilot.
