[미디어투데이=안상일기자] The Bucheon Office of Education formed a personality education consultative body for integrated management and comprehensive support of character education, and launched the 『Mamsori』 personality education season I project with the educational community in earnest. We are taking the lead in establishing a comprehensive support system for character education at the local level, listening to the voices of students and helping the classroom, home, and school community to come together and cooperate with each other.
In Bucheon 『Maeumsori』 Season Ⅰ, 3 projects ▲ “Inseong! Part 1 ‘Humanity is ( ). With the theme of ‘Because it is ( )’, we seek to internalize the value of character and virtue for all members of the educational community through the introduction of a personality mindset containing the values of the era of students, faculty, and parents, future awards and exhibitions, and production of personality goods. The application deadline is August 18, and you can apply through the link. Currently, more than 400 students, faculty, and parents are participating. Meanwhile, starting in September, the ‘Meet the Happy Me’ program through empathy and healing will be applied for each class and dispatched personality education instructors to support the field in the form of cooperative classes with homeroom teachers. In addition, in order to create a character-friendly school culture, the application of a field-oriented program is being promoted through a public contest for the development of a Bucheon-type personality education program (content) for teachers.

In Part 3, 『Maeumsori』 with family, every Saturday in October, ‘Family Psychological Recovery’ program, Urban Forest Road (Goean, Beombak, Okgil), Maeumimgil (Gogang), Sosanaeumgil (Songnae, Simgokbon, Sosabon), Wonmi Preparations are being made to restore family psychology and strengthen family-friendly personality education, such as traveling on cultural trails such as Masil-gil (Simgok, Sosa, and Wonmi) and visiting traditional markets by course.
Based on the Gyeonggi character education model, the Bucheon Office of Education is concentrating its efforts on spreading a safe and healthy school culture, such as managing school violence and crisis management students, and cultivating the character capacity of all students in the jurisdiction by establishing a character education ecosystem in Bucheon Bay. In particular, in preparation for the future society, character is the highest value, and an integrated support system is maintained at the education support office level, such as support for emotional and psychological character education programs at the school level.
