Maccabi Tel Aviv confirms agreement

Maccabi Tel Aviv has agreed with FC Bayern Munich on the details of the transfer of goalkeeper Daniel Peretz to the German record champions. This was announced by the Israeli club on Thursday evening.

“In the coming days we are expected to say goodbye to Daniel Peretz, our goalkeeper and dear friend, and wish him every success. We are saddened by Daniel’s departure, but we are also proud in many ways and wish him and his new club Bayern Munich good luck for the years to come,” said Mitch Goldhar, owner of Maccabi Tel Aviv.

After the departures of Yann Sommer and Alexander Nübel, FC Bayern was looking for a new goalkeeper. With Peretz, Munich have now found a keeper who can be number two behind Sven Ulreich. FCB reportedly paid around five million euros for the Israeli.

After the agreement between the two clubs, Peretz still has to complete and pass his medical check. In all likelihood, he will then sign a five-year contract in Munich. The 23-year-old made his only senior international for Israel in November 2022.
