The Italian won the second stage of the Tour du Limousin in a sprint on Wednesday, ahead of the Briton Lewis Askey (Groupama-FDJ) and Benoît Cosnefroy (AG2R-Citroën) on the line. Absent from the podiums this season, his best result was a fourth place in the seventh stage of the Tour de France.
No change at the top of the general classification, where Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ) retains the yellow jersey. Winner of the first stage on Tuesday, he is ahead of Benoît Cosnefroy and his teammate Michael Storer (Groupama-FDJ).
