Los Angeles Lakers Extend Anthony Davis’ Contract for 3 Years, $183 Million

The Los Angeles Lakers have made official the contract extension that they have reached with center Anthony Davis for 3 additional years and a total of 183 million dollars, being the third and last option for the player.

“AD understands that his commitment to being the hardest worker, combined with his great character, is what will help define our culture for seasons to come,” explained manager Rob Pelinka.

“In our negotiations with Anthony, his desire to lead our team for years to come was made very clear to us. It is a very big day for the entire Lakers community when we have been able to extend the contract of one of the most dominant players in the game,” he stressed.

Davis ensures his sporting future at least until next 2028. He had two guaranteed years left valued at 40 million for the 2023-24 campaign and 43.21 million for 2024-25.

Transferred to the Lakers in July 2019 in an operation for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three future first rounds of the Draft, in four seasons with the gold and purple team, he has averaged 24.6 points, 10.1 rebounds , 3 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.1 blocks in 194 official matches (192 as a starter).
