French striker Kylian Mbappé, in conflict with PSG and sidelined by his management, was not selected for the first match of the Ligue 1 season against Lorient, Saturday at the Parc des Princes, while Neymar is forfeited, the club announced. The captain of the France team has been deprived of training with the first team since he announced his intention to stay in Paris until the end of his contract in June 2024 without however wanting to extend it. He thus played only one of the five preparation meetings of the Parisians and had not been invited to the pre-season tour in Japan and South Korea.
