In a long interview with Nice-Matin, Julien Fournier talks about the arrival of Christophe Galtier at OGC Nice. He explains in particular that he contacted Erik Ten Hag, the former coach of Manchester United.
“Ten Hag was my first choice before Christophe Galtier. We made four joint appointments, we went quite far in our exchanges. He’s a good person. The day he says no to me, I’m on a date You with Christophe who hallucinates that Ten Hag is in the short-list. Suddenly, I put the pressure on him so that he gives us his agreement within 24 hours. I tell him that it is my priority in front of Ten Hag. He didn’t know that Ten Hag had told me no (smiles). If Ten Hag had told me yes, the story wouldn’t have been the same.”
