The Judo Club celebrates with the Olympian Luigi Guido

The Judo Club of Novi is preparing to celebrate an important milestone. Seventy years of activitywhich make it the third oldest sports club in the city, after Forza e Virtù and Novese.

For the occasion, two days to remember are coming up, the next 2 and 3 September. It begins on Saturday at 9 with three hours of competitive training held by what remains, in these seven decades of existence, the most famous judoka with the brightest career. Louis Guido. He will direct the session, together with his athletes from the Carabinieri Sports Center in Rome. The training, with the same timetable, will continue on Saturday afternoon from 17.30 to 19 and on Sunday morning, at the same time on Saturday, always with Maestro Guido on the tatami.

And Guido is the expected guest of the event. We had interviewed him on the pages of Panorama di Novi, between a recollection of his top-level career and his first steps in the Novi gym. Which date back to 1975, to then reach Rome, after having participated in the Olympic Games, the last ones in 2000. “I was coming back from a bad injury suffered the year before, but I felt good. Those were exciting days. I knew I was going through the best moment of my career and I had a really great race.” He had declared to our notebooks.
