The Youth Department of the Santa Eulària des Riu City Council continues this week with its diverse and creative leisure program in open spaces called Joves al Carrer. The event will take place on the Paseo Solidario in the town of Santa Eulària (between the Paseo Marítimo and the sports courts) and will include workshops on the circular economy or the use of plastics, as well as proposals for graffiti, textile printing, parkour, surfskate, sports events or a ‘escape room’ set in the Harry Potter universe. In addition, the musical setting will be provided by DJ Magno. The proposal, organized by the municipal Punt Jove counts with the collaboration of the Consell Insular d’Eivissa.
Joves al Carrer is an initiative that reaches its fourth edition this year and commemorates International Youth Day. It consists of five appointments, one by Parish, the first of which took place last Friday in es Puig d’en Valls. The proposal now comes to Santa Eulària. Thus, between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. this Friday the 18th, the Solidarity Walk will be the scene of a multitude of workshops, sports and leisure activities aimed at young people between 11 and 18 years of age.
Those attending the activities, which are free, will be able to participate in basketball competitions (3 against 3, shooting and mayhem), test their aim with the football target, archery or ring toss. There will also be a parkour ‘masterclass’, a surfskate workshop and acrobatics. The leisure proposals also include graffiti on canvas, ‘stronger jump’, textile printing, braids, ‘bodypainting’ and circular economy and plastic recycling workshops.
One of the most striking actions will be an ‘escape room’ set in the Harry Potter universe. Each session will last approximately 30 minutes and prior registration is required at [email protected] indicating name, surname, date of birth and telephone.
In addition, there will be the usual area of ’food trucks’ and a ‘kids corner’, so that boys and girls from 3 to 10 years old who come as companions have their space. All this will be energized with the music of DJ Magno.
