Next December, the court of Ascoli will deal with a dispute with baseball bats, originating from reasons of jealousy between two Ascoli women who are rivals in love, before which a 50-year-old defense by the lawyer Umberto Gramenzi will appear (photo); he will have to answer for the crimes of serious threat, personal injury and unjustified possession of a weapon. The woman who got into trouble with justice was evidently blinded by jealousy and in this state it is known that sometimes behaviors that would not normally occur can be undertaken. The story in a nutshell is this. The woman from Ascoli is married, but her husband must be an enterprising type since, in addition to carrying on the family routine with his wife, he has seen fit to cultivate an extramarital affair in secret from his wife. But the ‘liaison’ slowly came to the attention of the betrayed wife. So the woman armed herself with a baseball bat and headed to the house of her rival in love at the sight of which she tried to attack her. A scene witnessed by some passers-by who, given the ongoing scuffle, intervened to divide the two women, without succeeding. Until the carabinieri arrived; meanwhile the betrayed woman tried to hide the baseball bat in her car, but the military found it. So the complaint was filed. History that will now be recalled in a trial.
