Indianapolis Colts Give All-Pro Running Back Permission to Seek Trade

The running back looked for a better contract in Colts, but before the refusal, he asked to be traded

Los Indianapolis Colts have given the All-Pro running back permission to seek a trade, league sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN on Monday.

Other teams are now considering making an offer to the Colts by the runner who led the NFL in rushing yards in 2021 and that he has 3,841 career yards in the NFL.

Los Colts ask for a first-round pick or multiple picks that equate to a first-round pick, a source told Stephen Holder of ESPN.

Taylor has been seeking a contract extension since before training camp. When the Colts they refused to enter into negotiations, the player asking for a trade once the relationship began to sour. The owner of Colts, Jim IrsayHowever, he publicly denied Taylor’s trade request.

The running back is on the physically unwilling to play list and hasn’t been on the field since he was placed on injured reserve in December with an ankle problem that led to surgery in January.
