Henk Veerman has left FC Volendam for ADO Den Haag on a rental basis. However, the former striker of SC Heerenveen was still completely unaware of ADO’s interest, while FC Volendam and ADO had already agreed on the conditions of his departure.
“It is primarily a rental,” says the striker about his transfer to the Hofstad in front of the camera ESPN. “FC Volendam immediately agreed with the offer from ADO Den Haag, while I didn’t know anything about it myself. That is a clear statement from the club. Then you have to think and after conversations with the coach, it led to that I come here to play football.”
“I didn’t see it coming and I also think it’s a remarkable decision by my own club, to be honest. But now I’m glad I’m here. Did I ask FC Volendam for an explanation? Because they have a different want to get a striker. It will always be my club, but it doesn’t hurt at the moment,” said Veerman.
